ABOUT

Guest House of Milwaukee provides a full continuum of onsite and community-based programs to address the complex and evolving needs of individuals experiencing homelessness, including shelter, housing, behavioral health services and case management. Following several years of operational and fiscal challenges posed by the pandemic and extended covid restrictions, this multi-year engagement has focused on rebuilding and renewing engagement with committed supporters, while growing awareness and recognition of the organization’s vital role as a trusted leader in homelessness outreach and prevention for more than 40 years.


PROJECT SCOPE

• Currently overseeing the organization’s brand management, communications, and fundraising strategy

• Crafted 2022 and 2023 End of Year Appeals, collectively raising over $180,000

• Developed theme and content, created sponsorship package, managed communications, and designed materials and environmental graphics for Doorways to Dignity benefit event, raising $300,000

• Previously led website redesign and launch

• Managed social media content and digital engagement strategy, including launch of More Than Shelter Monthly e-newsletter

• Oversaw concept and asset development for Behind the Sign year-end campaign

What if a cardboard sign was the only medium you had to share your story? Would anyone listen? Behind the Sign was a campaign created to help dispel misconceptions about homeless individuals, while giving Guest House staff and supporters an opportunity to share their messages of support for those who are too often misunderstood and ignored.
