Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee has been providing legal representation and services at no cost to eligible residents since 1916. Despite its longevity, deep commitment to service, and outstanding reputation in the legal community, the organization is at an important inflection point - needing to affirm its core positioning as a leading provider of essential legal and supportive services and broadening awareness of its impact among prospective donors and supporters.


PROJECT SCOPE

Assess Legal Aid Society’s development and communications program(s) in order to identify and recommend viable solutions, strategies and systems that will support capacity-building efforts as the organization works to:

• improve operational efficiency within the development and communications team(s), better positioning the department(s) to advance the organization’s fundraising goals

• strengthen engagement with both existing and prospective supporters

• increase brand recognition in the community

• establish cohesion and consistency in its communications across both print and digital mediums

DELIVERABLES INCLUDE:

• modernize and revamp mission statement

• articulate organizational values and overall brand strategy and positioning

• develop boilerplate language

• prepare versatile donor facing material templates

• introduce marketing and other outreach tactics to increase brand recognition in the community
